Producers of 'Kanimozhi', actress Sona of Uniq Productions and T Siva of Amma Creations did the press conference at Chennai, Hydrabad in November 2010 to confirm the release date of the film. Whole cast and crew of the film spotted at the Kanimozhi Press Meet. On the occasion of press meet actress turn producer of the film, Sona said, she is sure that 'Kanimozhi' will win the heart of audiences. She also has believed that Kanimozhi will make it big in the box office. 'Kanimozhi' was released on November 26th, 2010.
Kanimozhi is a two hour beautiful romantic film that has been given a clean "U" certificate by the censors. This film is directed by Sripathi Rangaswamy, a former associate of Venkat Prabhu. The film is produced by T. Siva and Sona under the banner of 'Amma Creation' and 'Uniq Productions'. Music of the film is Composed by Satish Chakravarthy, who did his debut with the film, and has given a wonderful music, especially the Muzhu Madhi number. Pa. Vijay, Clinton Cerejo, Sam P.Keerthan, Vijay Yesudas, Bela Shende, Mukesh, Satish Chakravarthy and Timothy Madhukar have sung the songs for the film. 
Jai and Vijay Vasanth of 'Chennai 600028' (2007 Indian Tamil sports comedy feature film) fame have performed the lead roles while newcomer shazahn (Bollywood film 'Rocket Singh - Salesman of the year' fame actress) padamsee stared opposite them as the female lead. Jai has a new look in the film. Kanimozhi is a love story based on a philosophy. The whole film was shot in 46 days, and the film was recorded with sync sound, and the music mixing was done at India's best Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai. Mastering of the music was done at Sterling Studios in US.
